President/Owner
J.J. has over 18 years of utility construction experience within the horizontal directional drilling trade. J.J. is a drill operator with experience on numerous horizontal directional drilling rigs including Vermeer and Ditch Witch units of all sizes. J.J.’s experience consists of bores of up to 4000′, and pulling HOPE in sizes of .5" to 52" diameters and steel pipe up to 16". Drilling in Colorado and throughout the United States, J.J. has encountered and conquered every type of soil and rock condition. He also has experience with mud composite mixture and heavy equipment operations, multiple locating systems, backhoes, track hoes, trenchers, drilling rigs, truck services, water trucks, dump trucks and various trailers of all sizes. In addition to overseeing all of the field operations for the company, J.J. also maintains and services all of the vehicles and equipment used by HCD, Inc.
Vice President/Owner
Brian has 28 years of utility construction, project management and heavy construction experience within the horizontal directional drilling trade. Brian’s experience consists of bores up to 4000′ pulling HOPE from .5" to 52" and steel pipe up to 16" diameter pulling back up to 12 conduits per bore. Brian has extensive knowledge in mud composite and the operation of various sizes of drill, locating systems and heavy construction equipment. Besides being an expert in the directional drilling trade, Brian is also responsible for all business and operational aspects of HCD, Inc., including estimating, profitability, safety, staffing, marketing efforts, customer and vendor relations, leadership, development and growth of the company.
Area Manager
Joe has 29 years of progressively responsible experience in utility construction operations. Joe works in the day-to-day operations of the Company and as liaison between the company, general contractors, suppliers and employees. Joe provides direction to field foreman and works to ensure development and growth of the Company and its personnel. Joe establishes processes and cost reduction procedures, problem solves and continues to develop the Company’s sound foundation. Knowledgeable in all aspects of the HDD field from small to large scale projects, initial inception through completion. Capable of managing multiple projects on a concurrent basis. Joe was construction manager for one of the largest and most diversified U.S. infrastructure service providers in the country over seeing multimillion dollar projects such as the Southern CA Verizon f.t.t.p. project.
Concrete Manager
Brian has been with HCD since 2019. His background in in customer service and management with in the automotive industry. Brian worked for Pikes Peak Acura for 25 years before coming to HCD. Brian was consistently top in the country for customer satisfaction
Area Manager
Rick has worked for over 13 years in concrete restoration. He is proficient with stamp patio and driveway pours, sidewalk and storm sewer drain, interior and exterior slabs, barrier walls and mold strips. He’s been running heavy equipment for 10 years such as skid loaders, big loaders, and mini excavators. He works with our restoration crew to finish all projects.
Hydro-Vac Superintendent
Josh started his career in the oil field industry, working his way up to a hydro-vac division manager. After that he moved to Cripple Creek Colorado and drilled for gold as a lead rig operator for 3 years. Josh has amassed a combined 17 years of hydro excavation experience and numerous certificates such as OSHA 10 hours, first aid and CPR, pipe line inspection, P.E.C. premier, abnormal condition and his O.Q. qualification.
Field Foreman
Charlie has been a career drilling foreman, starting over 20 years ago. He can locate with all systems, operate numerous drill rigs, and has the experience to keep his crew on task. Charlie joined HCD, Inc. in July of 2017, and his contributions have been a welcome addition. Charlie holds certifications from OSHA (20 hour), NEC in trench shoring, competent person, confined space, and he is Fusion certified.
